How are you doing today? I’m glad that you’re reading this article, because you are in the right place at the right time. In my last post I listed out 23 habits of successful people and I promised to write an in-depth article of each attribute. Today, I’m starting off with the first on the list - Visionary & Dreamer.

What is a visionary? What is a dreamer?

A visionary and dreamer is someone who has and can see what others cannot see or what is yet to exist. When I said see in the previous sentence, I don’t mean seeing with your physical eyes, I mean seeing with the eyes of your mind, I mean having the power to let your imaginations go free and go where no man has gone.  Physically blind mean still see while dreaming in their sleep, which goes to show that your dreams, visions, hopes and aspirations are not limited to your physical environment and situation. The only limitation to your dreams is you. In the New Living Translation of the Bible, God told Abram from Genesis 13:14 ‘Look as far as you can see in every direction…I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.’ In terms of your life’s goals, how far can you see? Are you operating under a limited vision, or are you willing to dream big. The late Steve Jobs was able to achieve what he did in his life time because he wasn’t afraid to dream, because he wasn’t afraid to envision what others could not see.

The achievement of your visions and dreams are what can make you stand out in the crowd. Every great achievement by successful men all started as a dream in their hearts. Men are not born great, but it is what you achieve that makes you great. There are benefits to having a dream:

  1. It gives you a sense of direction, you won’t feel lost, you become a focused person.
  2. It gives you something to live for. No suicidal thoughts.
  3. It increases your self-confidence and self-worth.
  4. It gives you hope even in tough times.

Do you dare to be successful, then I dare you to dream what no man has dreamed. Remember, every great achievement in life started as a seed dropped in the heart of a man in the form of a dream. Dreams rule the world.

I’ll see you in my next post. Please subscribe to this blog if you desire to receive instant notifications when the next post is published.

Dream on.

Cheers.
